About David Batchelor - Founder and Creative Director
Educated at the prestigious architectural stained glass course at Swansea, after studying for a 6 year period, I continued to develop drawing and painting skills, undertaking a number of commercial artwork projects.
I then ran a stained glass studio for a company that made Victorian and Edwardian windows. After a couple of years I felt the time had come to expand my skills as my growing passion for wildlife illustration and glass painting increased. In 1998 I established Divine Art.
When establishing Divine Art my main goal was to add colour into every home. I still hold these beliefs today.
By creating decorative glass tiles and splashbacks in 2000 I was enabled to create a wider range of designed art glass products. 2008 has seen the introduction of the next level in glass tiles and glass jewellery, which are beautiful and functional. By increasing our product ranges and services Divine Art is becoming more accessible to a greater number of people.
Over the past 20 years I have undertaken a large number of jobs in both traditional and modern art glass and thank you all for your support and interest in Divine Art.
